Spiral Dance Womyn's Music Festival!

Saturday Mar 8, 2PM @ 2640 (2640 St. Paul St.)

One year ago two womyn, Laurie Kendall and Bobbie DeVoll, bought a building at 2505 E. Oliver Street, and with a beautiful vision and some Xena moxie, began an all womyn renovation of the building.  In November 2007 they opened the doors of the Spiral Dance Womyn’s Center and Bookstore, a sacred space for all womyn to educate and inspire.  The Spiral Dance Womyn’s Music Festival (SDWMF), a daylong showcase of amazing local womyn musicians, performers, vendors and artists, honors their hard work and to raise much needed funds for a heating system for the building.  Check out fantastic local artisans, womyn’s organizations, a silent auction and not-so-silent performances- check out the extended description for a full listing!  2 p.m. – 8 p.m., sliding scale donation of $8 - $12 requested.

Red Emma's is open Monday through Friday from 10AM-10PM, Saturday from 10AM-8PM, and Sunday from 10AM-6PM. Our weekly collective meetings are Sunday at 7PM, and are open to anyone interested in the project, except for the first Sunday of every month, which is closed to everyone except collective members.
Red Emma's is part of IU 660 of the Industrial Workers of the World, one of the only unions to recognize that worker collectives can stand in solidarity with those fighting the bosses as part of one big union.
