The Tobacco Industry Unfiltered: Behind the Smoke and Mirrors
Is the Tobacco Industry just another buisness? Ryan Coffman, a tobacco treatment specialist and public health professional will take an engaging, in-depth look into the tobacco industry, as a public health, social justice, and increasingly, a globalization issue. By drawing comparisons between the Tobacco Industry and other businesses in terms of the product they sell, and how they are promoted, placed, and priced, we will strive to answer once and for all, whether the Tobacco Industry is a buisness or just smoke and mirrors.
Refreshments will be served.
A facilitated round-table discussion on the recent smoke-free indoor air law and tobacco tax increase in Maryland to follow.

Red Emma's is open Monday through Friday from 10AM-10PM, Saturday from 10AM-8PM, and Sunday from 10AM-6PM. Our weekly collective meetings are Sunday at 7PM, and are open to anyone interested in the project, except for the first Sunday of every month, which is closed to everyone except collective members.
