Eddie Conway's Autobiography Book Release!

Friday Apr 29, 7PM @ 2640 (2640 St. Paul St.)

In 1970, the feds framed Eddie Conway for the murder of a Baltimore City Police officer. He was 24 years old. They threw him in prison, took him away from his family, his friends, and his organizing, and tried to relegate him to a life marked by nothing but legal appeals, riots and lockdowns, transfers from one penal colony to the next. But they failed. Join us for the Baltimore release of Eddie Conway's autobiography, Marshall Law: The Life and Times of a Baltimore Black Panther! Featuring readings from the book by Bashi Rose and WombWorks Productions, a talk by Pam Africa on the Mumia Abu-Jamal case, and a performance by the incomparable Lafayette Gilchrist! Catering will be provided by Neutral Grounds. $5-10 sliding scale donation requested.  This event will be in the Sunday Room- please enter at the 27th Street door!

Our weekly collective meetings are Sunday at 7PM, and are open to anyone interested in the project, except for the first Sunday of every month, which is closed to everyone except collective members.
Red Emma's is part of IU 660 of the Industrial Workers of the World, one of the only unions to recognize that worker collectives can stand in solidarity with those fighting the bosses as part of one big union.
