Cory Doctorow presents For the Win

Sunday Jun 27, 3PM @ Red Emma's

What happens when one the most influential bloggers and copyfighters today turns his (not inconsiderable) literary talents towards politically charged young adult science fiction?  Answer: awesomeness.

We're exceptionally excited to welcome Cory Doctorow to Red Emma's for a special Sunday afternoon reading from his latest novel, For the Win, which tells the tale of young "gold farmers" who turn the tables on their exploitative employers by organizing, in-game, the Industrial Workers of the World Wide Web.  And, true to form, the book is even Creative Commons licensed.  We'll also hopefully get a chance to pick Cory's brain about the struggle for the digital commons and the future of the Internet.

Also, here's a bit of entertainingly obsessive Internet trivia: Cory Doctorow's 15th ever post on BoingBoing was a link to the great folks at the Emma Goldman papers.
